An oil on board painting depicting a hazy hillside view of the Blue Ridge Mountains with finely rendered grass, trees, and drifting fog. Painted by Douglas Grier (b. 1947), a self-taught artist who began drawing and painting as a teenager and sold his first work at age 14. Grier moved from New Jersey to South Carolina in 1975 and opened a gallery in Greenville, where his work gained recognition in various exhibitions and entered numerous private and corporate collections. Titled Sunday Morning and signed "Douglas Grier 2/82" on the lower right. Housed in a wood frame. Measures approximately 22 1/2'' H x 30 1/4'' W, Good condition.
