English William and Mary period chair crafted in carved oak with a rich dark surface and traditional form typical of the late 17th century. The backrest is decorated with expertly carved tulip and grape motifs, reflecting the decorative carving associated with the period. The chair features a shaped back, solid seat, and turned stretcher supporting the legs. Measures approximately 37" H x 18" W x 14 1/2" D. Seat height approximately 16 1/2". Some minimal wear with areas of natural separation in the wood consistent with age.
