A vibrant still life painting depicting potted plants, bowls of fruit, and vases set against a grid-pattern background rendered in blue, purple, red, yellow, and orange tones. Titled Abundantly Colorful II and housed in a black frame. Walter Taft Bradshaw (1933-2021) was born in Wilmington, North Carolina and attended the North Carolina State University School of Design. After graduating, he moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida where he built a 30+ year career as a landscape architect designing grounds for hotels, condominiums, and private residences. In retirement he relocated to Boone, North Carolina and devoted himself fully to painting, becoming known for his boldly colored abstract works and vibrant still lifes. In March 2022, David Watkins Art Gallery acquired more than 50 original oil paintings from the Taft Bradshaw estate. Measures approximately 20 1/4'' H x 26 1/2'' W, Good condition.
