20th/21st Century, a museum-style documentary display celebrating the history of textile manufacturing at Biltmore Industries in Asheville, North Carolina. Established in 1901 with the support of George and Edith Vanderbilt to teach traditional crafts to local youth, the industry became a world-renowned producer of high-quality hand-loomed wool until 1981. This comprehensive collection includes antique fabric samples, factory documents, and historical photographs, all housed in an ornate wooden frame. Frame measures approximately 27 5/8" H x 37 5/8" W x 7/8" D. Good condition.
