An abstract oil painting on canvas featuring interlocking geometric forms rendered within a dominant blue palette. Walter Taft Bradshaw (1933-2021) was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, and attended the North Carolina State University School of Design before establishing a successful 30-year career as a landscape architect in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Upon retiring to Boone, North Carolina, he devoted himself fully to his artistic practice, becoming recognized for his boldly colored abstract works and vibrant still lifes. This work comes from a significant collection of the artist's estate acquired by the David Watkins Art Gallery in 2022. The painting measures approximately 18'' H x 24'' W x 5/8" D and remains in good condition.
