An expressive handmade vase by Theo Sable featuring a cylindrical body contrasted by a highly sculpted organic rim and handle, finished with a glossy honey-ochre glaze to the rim and handle and a speckled pink and grey glaze to the body. Signed “Theo” on the underside. Theodora “Theo” Sable was a New York artist and designer who combined creativity with business vision; after teaching at Fordham University, she launched her jewelry design business in 1976 and exhibited in the Young Designers Room by 1978.
