Series derived from the work of William Hogarth (1697–1764), the English artist celebrated for moralizing genre scenes depicting the follies and social issues of his generation. These prints relate to Hogarth’s modern subjects with scenes ranging from courtroom settings to political figures with scenes descibing the lives of the elite or aristocracy. Derived from a book publication. One page measures approximately 9 1/4″ H x 25″ W. Paper shows toning with discoloration, bends, and tears to the edges consistent with age.
