This is a double-sided press wipe of the 1967 Magic Mountain poster. The Magic Mountain Music Festival is considered to be the FIRST ROCK MUSIC FESTIVAL! It was organized by radio station KFRC as a charity fundraiser & promotional event and took place in the late spring of 1967. The Monterey Pop Festival was a week later, but this was no doubt the first of its kind when it came to the future trend of outdoor concerts. At least 36,000 people attended the two-day concert and fair. After enjoying a scenic ride up the mountain from the Marin County Civic Center, Mill Valley, and other starting locations, a giant Buddha Balloon greeted attendees when they arrived at the outdoor amphitheater. It was originally scheduled for June 3rd and 4th, but was delayed one week by inclement weather and actually happened on June 10th and 11th. This rare press wipe has press wipes from Rick Griffin's "Puff of Kief" headshop poster, ads for the San Francisco Giants, and multiple calendars.
