
This original First Printing Handbill was created for the 1968 Northern California Folk-Rock Festival at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds in San Jose. The annual event drew some of the biggest acts of the day. This festival featured Jefferson Airplane on Saturday and The Doors on Sunday. The additional festival acts included Big Brother and the Holding Company featuring Janis Joplin, The Youngbloods, The Electric Flag, Kaleidoscope, Taj Mahal, and Ravi Shankar. Although not mentioned in the promotional material, the Grateful Dead also performed.
