Approximately seven months after The Family Dog was forced out of the Avalon Ballroom, Chet Helms opened up shop on the Great Highway. The site was at the former Edgewater Ballroom, part of the Playland at the Beach complex. Due to budget constraints, relatively few posters were produced for the shows at 660 Great Highway. Mostly handbills were used to promote those concerts, and they were printed in small quantities. This handbill announced events at the venue in early October of 1969, including appearances by Timothy Leary, Charley Musselwhite, Congress of Wonders, and more. The handbill was produced in multiple colors, this one being printed in rainbow ink.
