This is an original handbill from a performance of a seminal Broadway show at the Geary Theatre in October 1969! "Hair" in 1968 explored many of the themes of the hippie and counterculture movement of the late 1960s. The musical broke new ground in musical theatre by defining the genre of "rock musical".
