This handbill announced an event at the Santa Clara Fairgrounds headlined by Creedence Clearwater Revival, featuring supporting acts Smokestack Lightning and Wild Honey on April 26th, 1969. Songs by Creedence Clearwater Revival are some of the most memorable and catchy tunes of the era. Unfortunately, John Fogerty signed away his publishing rights to an unscrupulous manager, Saul Zantz, who was also the owner of the band’s label, Fantasy Records. The final insult came when Zantz sued Fogerty for copying his own style in the Fogerty tune "Old Man Down The Road". Fogerty finally reclaimed the rights to his songs recently and did a tour to celebrate!
