This vintage, small-sized poster was produced for Quicksilver Messenger Service, appearing at The Jabberwock in Berkeley during 1966. This was the first time the band played this historic venue. The Jabberwock started as a successful jazz club in the early sixties until it was purchased by Bill "Jolly Blue" Ehlert in 1965. Ehlert converted much of the venue's performances to a more psychedelic sound. In 1966, Ehlert hired Jesse Cahn, who had been a guest drummer for the Chambers Brothers, to co-manage the Jabberwock while he ran the Matrix in San Francisco.
