Late 19th C. Oil on canvas. Marine painting depicting a three-masted square-rigged sailing vessel underway in choppy seas. Shows figures on the deck. A steamship is visible in the distance. Unsigned. Sight size: 18" high x 25 1/2" wide. In a distressed silver frame measuring: 22 1/2" high x 30 3/4" wide.Small hole upper left. Shows numerous old repairs and patches on back. Frame shows minor damage and loss to gilding.
