Description

(American/Massachusetts, 1848-1921). Depicts whaleships in New Bedford harbor with a tugboat and Fairhaven drawbridge in the distance. Signed lower right in pencil. Signed lower left in the plate and dated 1903. Also has a remarque in pencil lower left with a whaling kill scene. Sight size: 20" high x 31" wide. In a period oak frame under glass measuring: 31" high x 42" wide. UV glass and new matting. Very slight creasing to top edges. Not removed from frame.
