Gardner Marsh Personal Items

Description

Includes 6 maps, most dating from the 1960s, including four nautical charts: Watch Hill To New Haven (1965, 1967, 1968, 1970), a 1969 Shinnecock Bay To East Rockaway Inlet nautical chart, and a Dept. of the Interior Geological Survey map of Gloucester Quadrangle, Massachusetts - all used with accompanying wear. Gardner Marsh's 1941 Dartmouth College banner (17" x 31 1/4") and St. Albans" school pennant, both with loss, soiled, moth damaged and substantial wear. Also, a vintage fisherman balance toy, carved wood body/head with a hand cut and painted tin fish. All personally owned and used by Marsh with the banner and pennant hanging in his Eel Point Nantucket tackle shop for decades.
