Description
Prominently displayed in his Eel Point tackle shop for many years, Gardner D. Marsh (1918-1998) made these bookends from a whale that washed up on Nantucket Island in the late 1940s. Each includes a section of whale backbone that measures nearly 9 1/2" in diameter, with a finished wood back and weighted base. Perfect for a nautical setting, from the legendary surf caster's estate. Historic and truly one-of-a-kind.
