A DIVISION ONE MULTI TECHNIQUE ENAMEL BUTTON

Description

1 Large 19th century very colorful plaquette example. This multi technique enamel button is not a common example to find. The base is gilded pierced brass with an all over Champleve enamel design upon which are placed the small prong set foil and Basse Taille enamel plaquettes and centered with a large foil Basse Taille prong set plaquette. Each plaquette is found in a different color of Green, Red, Cobalt blue and sky blue. A very cool, fine and wonderful 19th century example.
