Maori ‘Hei Tiki' Pendant, New Zealand. Carved and engraved Pounamu (Greenstone) attached to Flax fibre Cord with Bone Toggle. Hei means neck ornament and tikki means human. It was worn on the breast suspended on a plaited cord of Flax fibre attached to a toggle made from the bone.
