12 small (3 ¼” – 3 ½” diameter) Kids’ Activity plates with Spatterware (blue, red and purple) rims. Each plate has a different transfer image of a child or children engaged in various activities. Some of the activities are easily identifiable (such as the “see-saw” and riding the “horse” while others are unfamiliar (to me, at least). The transfer images are mostly black, but there are a several in red/pink, brown (?) and blue. Overall condition is fine to very fine: some of the transfer images are fainter than others; but only 2 plates have edge chips (the 3 boys playing ring-toss and the red spatter plate of 2 boys back to back); and a couple have small chips on the foot rims. These plates date to the second half of the 19th century and are English, made n the Staffordshire region. There are no makers’ markings on any of them. I am happy to send photos of individual plates upon request. And I do not know if this is a complete set of these plates or if there are other transfers available. Activityplates
