Blueing is very strong and the bore is crisp.? The wood Colt grip is in new condition.? Revolver obtains the VP proof mark which is a factory stamp indicating the revolver passed inspection and functional firing tests. Located on the crane (or side plate), this mark signifies that the weapon was officially certified by Colt inspectors.? There is also a C proof mark on the revolver.? ?Appears that this Python was introduced in 1980's. ?The 8-inch barrel was introduced to cater to hunters and long-range shooters.?
