19th Century French Gilt Carved Frame

Description

19th century French gilt carved frame featuring floral and vegetal ornamentation in the Rococo and Baroque taste. The richly detailed carving displays scrolling forms and decorative relief typical of the period. Fitted with a plaque reading “L. R. Mignot.” Measures approximately 17" H x 18 5/8" W x 3 1/2" D. Minimal areas of loss with light wear overall. Good condition.
