Stoneware churn impressed with a “3” denoting three gallon capacity, featuring a slightly curving shoulder with incised band decoration and applied lug handles. The vessel is finished in a deep runny glaze typical of utilitarian country pottery, and retains its fitted lid with central opening for a churn dash. Measures approximately 18" H x 8" diameter. General age-appropriate wear with noted chips and abrasions to the lid.
