Signed etching by Percival Leonard Rosseau (American, 1859–1937) depicting hunting dogs within a verdant landscape, rendered with delicate linework characteristic of the artist’s accomplished etchings. Rosseau, born in Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana, and later active in Fayetteville, North Carolina, is known for his depictions of sporting dogs, birds, and animals in landscape settings. The composition reflects his refined observational skill and naturalistic style. Housed in a black frame. Frame measures approximately 15" H x 17 3/8" W x 1/2" D. Some toning and discoloration to the mat with toning to the paper consistent with age. Minimal wear to the frame.
