Description
Art Deco trophy crafted from spelter and depicts a sleek, stalking panther on an elongated integral base. The piece serves as a significant historical maritime artifact, featuring an original brass presentation plaque inscribed "II. Pres Tontauben-Schiessen. D. Resolute Weltreise 1929." It was awarded as the second-place prize for a clay pigeon shooting competition held aboard the renowned German ocean liner SS Resolute during its prestigious 1929 world cruise. The name "M. Kacer" is inscribed on the reverse. The sculpture retains a characterful worn aged patina throughout. It measures approximately 6'' H x 15 1/2'' W x 3 1/4'' D. Age-appropriate wear to surface.
