Southern stoneware face jug by Grace Nell Hewell (American, 1933–2016), signed and dated 2007 with incised signature. The piece features a rich alkaline glaze with expressive facial details including blue eyes and white eyes and teeth. Hewell was a noted Georgia folk potter associated with traditional Southern pottery. Measures approximately 4 1/2" H x 2 3/4" W. Good condition.
