REBEL KNIFE. American (possibly Southern), 1840s. Sword guard taken off because of broken blade, cut down to knife size. Popular for Confederate troops. Dug out of a grave in 1910 in South Dakota. Ex Jim Johnson. Overall, 15.5"l. Blade, 10.25"l. Provenance: From the Lifetime Collection of the late Ken Hanna (Chester, New Jersey). 15.5"l.
