Lockheed A-12 'Oxcart' Engineering Technical Report (SP-453)
This original, formerly restricted engineering report originates from Lockheed’s Skunk Works division during the development of the A-12 "Oxcart," the CIA’s Mach 3+ predecessor to the SR-71 Blackbird. Titled "Structural Loads Summary" (SP-453) and dated circa 1960–1965, the document contains proprietary data regarding airframe integrity, aero-elasticity, and load factors at speeds up to Mach 3.20. The contents include typewritten summaries, hand-drawn schematics, load distribution graphs, and IBM 7090 computer analysis references. Notable features include handwritten engineering notes dated December 20, 1960, and "SECRET" classification markings, many of which have been redacted or marked "UNCLASSIFIED."
