清 翡翠鼻煙壺
Of rounded, slightly compressed form, carved from a pale celadon-toned jadeite stone with areas of soft translucency, suffused with irregular patches of vivid apple-green inclusions. The surface well-polished, highlighting the natural mottling of the material. Fitted with a stopper. Qing Dynasty period.

Provenance: Property from the Lee family, Santa Monica; acquired in Hong Kong prior to 1999 by the father, an ophthalmic surgeon; thence by descent.(Lot 2001-2004)
