Description
This is a collection of percussion instruments used by Frank Zappa Percussionist Ed Mann.
Mann played percussion for Frank Zappa from 1977 until 1988, and was known for using gongs, marimbas, xylophone, electronic percussion, assorted whistles and duck calls, and percussion instruments from around the world to serve Zappa's wild and eccentric arrangements.
Included in this lot are eight items: a vintage percussion stand, a 16x4 Remo PTS frame drum, a 10 inch vintage tamborine, one green Whirly tube, one medium shekere, two calls, and a copy of Ed's 1990 Modern Drummer Magazine that shows him using some of the instruments in this collection.
