An individual index card; with penciled annotations in an unknown hand, but likely by a cosmetician at Blue Book Models [the agency where Marilyn worked when she first became a professional model]; right side features a generic face with a note above reading "No eye shadow / in center," left side with notes reading in full "Monroe, Marilyn / Base Panstic 626B / Hilite 3N / Shadow 626 E / Eye #6+ #22 / Lips #2 SP / Lashes ?" ? a fascinating look at what "made up" what would become one of the most recognizable faces on earth ? however, somewhat frustrating as the cosmetics being referenced are not fully described; also included is a small handmade business card used by Andre De Dienes, the photographer who Marilyn met through Blue Book; on the front, it features a black and white photographic image showing magazines that his photographs appeared on (including two showing a young Norma Jeane), and on the back appears a turquoise ink stamp noting his name and his NYC address, but with his Los Angeles telephone number of "Crestview / 1-2680" penned by him in brown fountain pen ink; both documents are now in very fragile condition as they appear to have been water damaged, but they were important enough for the young model to have saved.
