Wonderful African hand carved wood Kuba Janus cup. Unique in shape and style with two cups in one vessel with faces on each side. Incised throughout emphasizing the hair on each head. Handles are carved in the shape of a human body with a serpent crawling up their body. Size 8 1/2" H x 6 3/4" W

Collected prior to 2008, ex-Lacy Gallery (Vanna & Lee Lacy collection), Los Angeles CA. Lacy Gallery was founded upon six decades of collecting ethnographic and fine art. Lee Lacy was a distinguished Hollywood producer of iconic TV series and commercials.
