This collaboration between Swiss writer Sandoz and the Catalan master represents one of the heights of post-war surrealist illustration. Dal?'s plates, with their characteristic dreamlike language of soft watches, elongated figures and metaphysical landscapes, accompany Sandoz's fantastic text in a visual dialogue of rare intensity. Copy in good general condition with wear to the corners of the cover, small loss to the upper right corner, scattered foxing.
