COPY WITH AUTHOR'S AUTOGRAPH DEDICATION TO IGNAZIO SILONE, dated Amsterdam June 27, 1954: 'For Ignazio Silone / from a Dutch friend'. Literary association of considerable interest documenting relations between Dutch intelligentsia and one of the greatest Italian writers of the twentieth century, central figure of European anti-fascism and Nobel Prize candidate. Foxing on cover, fresh interior. Rare in commerce, exceptional with this provenance.
Condition
Cover with scattered foxing and some brownish stains, corners slightly rubbed. Interior clean, good quality paper. Author's autograph dedication to Ignazio Silone dated Amsterdam 27-6-54.
