Description
Catalogue of the solo exhibition of Leonor Fini at the prestigious Alexandre Iolas galleries, with locations in Paris (Boulevard Saint-Germain), Geneva (Rue Etienne-Dumont) and New York (55th Street). Publication from the 1970s documenting the work of the Italian-Argentine artist, a central figure of European surrealism. The illustrated color cover presents a composition typical of Fini: a veiled female figure with colored glass chalices in the foreground, in that pastel palette and dreamlike atmosphere that characterizes her mature production. The title page includes an original ink drawing by the artist. Important document for the study of Fini and her relationship with Iolas, one of the most influential postwar gallerists.
Condition
Cover with slight wear to edges and corners, slight yellowing of paper, interior apparently clean. Spine intact.
