CBS Television, 2001; William Morris Agency covers, marked "Production Draft," dated "June 13, 2000," adapted for television by Joyce Eliason, 183 pages, a printed-out email dated "07/14/2000" outlining Ann-Margret's offer for her role as "Della" is taped to the inside front cover.
Ann-Margret portrayed "Della," grandmother to the young "Norma Jeane" in this highly fantastical version of Marilyn Monroe's life as written by Joyce Carol Oates in her 2000 book, "Blonde." The actual Della Mae Hogan Monroe died when Norma Jeane Mortenson was only one year old, but in this made-for-TV movie, Ann-Margret was able to portray a loving grandmother to a child old enough to talk and engage with her ? sadly, something that did not happen in the life of the real Norma Jeane.
