Two Satsuma Vases

Meiji period with painted and gilt decoration, comprising: a 5in tall moon flask decorated with a domestic scene at one side and a mountainous landscape at the reverse, the sides with millefluer and scattered fans all above the foot with wave motif, and a 7 1/2in tall vase with two panels of pictorial decoration, one side with a garden scene, the reverse with a Guanyin and attendant among Rakan.

Provenance: From a Main Line collection.
