American Graffiti | Production Script with "Purple Haze" Script

Description

Two original production scripts, the first for the beloved coming-of-age film American Graffiti (Universal, 1973). Bound in a paper script cover fastened with two brads, the front cover features a small illustration of a car playing music above the title. The title page specifies that this is the second draft of the script, dated May 10, 1972, and reads: "rock radio is A MERICAN GRAFFITI (saga of the low riders)." George Lucas, Gloria Katz, and Willard Huyck are credited as screenwriters. The second script is what would become More American Graffiti (Universal, 1979), under its short-lived working title "Purple Haze." The screenplay, undated, is attributed to director/screenwriter B. W. L. Norton. Fastened together with two brass brads with blue paper covers.
