1891 Berlin - 1977 Berlin - "Girl's Head" (1919) woodcut/paper. 25 x 12 cm, 31 x 19 cm. 42 x 33 cm (dimensions with frame). Signed lower left: MKaus. Framed under glass. Max Kaus attended the School of Applied Arts and Crafts in Berlin-Charlottenburg in 1908. Stimulated and inspired as a student of Heckel, he created lithographs and woodcuts. 1928 G??nther-Wagner Prize Hanover. He has held a full professorship since 1949.
