AMERICAN EARTHENWARE / REDWARE OPEN SALT, lead- and manganese-glazed, pedestal form having double-incised rings below rim. Possibly Pennsylvania. 19th century. 2 3/8" H, 3 /8" D rim.

Mostly undamaged, having two minor shallow chips to foot. Manufacturing flaws including a stone pop and a Y-shaped firing separation to underside of foot, as made.
