Description
An authentic early 20th-century Burroughs adding machine featuring a crinkle-black cast metal housing, full key layout, hand-crank operation, and paper tape carriage, mounted on its original tubular metal rolling stand with attached wooden side shelf. Manufactured by the Burroughs Adding Machine Company of Detroit, Michigan, this mechanical calculator reflects classic American industrial office design of the 1910s–1920s era. The machine displays surface wear, dust, light oxidation, and paint loss consistent with age, while the wood leaf shows scuffing, edge wear, and finish loss, though the unit remains structurally intact and appears to retain its mechanical assembly. H 36", W 30", D 20". Please see photos for condition. Note: Pickup/Transport required. Contacts available Post-Auction.
