Description
Pair of 16" Model No. 300 Schoenhut dolls. These were made from November 1911 - 1923. They originally had the incised mark on the back of their torsos but it only shows on the doll with the blonde wig. No original clothing, they have been redressed in antique cotton clothing, shoes, socks. Doll 1) with the replaced antique blonde mohair wig has brown intaglio eyes. She has the lavender/white stripe dress of the period, panties, rust suede center snap shoes. Condition: minor paint loss on face but no repaint visible. Crazing. Paint is worn on both hands. Doll 2) with the replaced vintage red braided mohair wig, blue intaglio eyes. Dressed in blue fine polka dot dress, apron, teddy, ivory oilcloth shoes. Condition: heavy repaint on head. Repaint on body inc. hands. Left hand missing parts of (2) fingers. This lot is being sold AS IS. It has potential.
