It is covered with smooth white glaze. Both sides of the bottle are painted with blue-and-white landscape paintings. One side depicts distant mountains, wild geese and waterside cottage, with graded blue shades, scattered birds and quiet dwelling. The reverse side shows dense woods and rocks with skillful texture rendering. The blue pigment presents rich tonal variations with classic Chinese landscape artistic conception. A leaf-shaped mark is painted on the base, a common cipher mark for Qing porcelain. Elegant and compact, it is a fine example of Qing blue-and-white snuff bottle.
