Height:7.1cm(2.80in)Width:4.8cm(1.89in)Weight:70g(0.154lb)This is a multi-layer overlay glass snuff bottle. It has an ovoid body, short straight neck and oval flat base. The mouth and base are made of sapphire-blue glass. The main body uses red glass as background, fully carved with dense sea waves. White overlay glass is used in high relief to depict several twisting chilong dragons, decorated with cloud and flaming pearl motifs. The multi-coloured layers are distinct with striking red, white and blue contrast. The high relief has strong three-dimensional effect with smooth and delicate carving lines. The complex overlay technique makes it a fine example of Qing glass snuff bottle with high artistic value.
