This Martin D-28 guitar was gifted by Elvis to his friend and bodyguard Sam Thompson in January of 1977. Accompanying the guitar is the case, a letter from Vernon Presley which references the guitar as one of many gifts from Elvis to Sam, and a letter of authenticity from Sam Thompson which states that the guitar was a gift from Elvis and that the guitar was later sold to the National Enquirer for use as a contest prize. The sale of the guitar by Sam to the National Enquirer helped Sam to fund his college education. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated.





Condition

Overall good condition with a fair amount of nicks and scratches consistent with age and use.
