With the remarque, Fleurs du mal and the artist's monogram in red, but before the letterpress 'Baudelaire' in the stone, lower left. Edition 35 in state ii, 70 in state iii. There was a second unsigned edition of 1,000 proofs. Series: Souvernirs Intimes. Printed on the full sheet of white wove paper. Signed and numbered '30/35' in pencil. This book had text by Rouault and a preface by Andre Suares. It was published by the Galerie des Peintres Graveurs, and edited by E. Frapier.
Georges Rouault (1871-1958) was a French painter, draughtsman, and printer, whose work is often associated with Fauvism and Expressionism.
