A REGENCY GILT BRASS MOUNTED AND INLAID SARCOPHAGUS FORM ROSEWOOD TEA CADDY, EARLY 19TH CENTURY, opening to a three compartment interior fitted with two hinged lid compartments, flanking an associated cut glass circular mixing bowl, within tapering exterior sides centering brass string inlay, flanked by gilt lion masks suspending circular handles, including one key. Height: 7 3/8" Width: 12" Depth: 6 1/2" Provenance: Estate of the Late James K. Schooler, Esq.

Condition

Good condition, with some normal minor surface wear, top left side of lid has old repair, interior of lid has later red paper lining, mixing bowl is of the period but probably associated.
