Details: Vintage Western L77 World War II Fighting Knife

This rare vintage knife features a black handle with red accents, a brass hilt, and steel 5" blade. Measures 91/4" overall. Brown leather sheath with embossed leaf design. Commonly referred to as a World War II Commando Knife. Maker's marks on blade, "Western, L77, Boulder Colo, Pat's Made in USA."

This lot is from the estate of a very well-known and well-respected lifetime Civil War collector in Upstate New York. Worth Auctions will feature scores of antique firearms, edged weapons, paintings, and unusual items over the next few months. Condition / Notes: This vintage World War II knife shows nicely, with mild to moderate wear and age. Blade has been sharpened many times. Leather sheath shows significant age and wear.
