Early state of the second issue with p. 213 numbered correctly (second issue) and p. 134, line 12 showing the misspelling of "affetcionately" (first issue). Dickens' novel of the French Revolution, unusual that he concentrated more on historical events than on characters. Hatton & Cleaver p.333; Smith Vol. I, 13. Provenance: Greg & Jeanine Newman.

Condition
Some wear and soiling to cloth with rubbing to extremities, spine a bit dull and rubbed; scattered light foxing, darkening to plate edges; about very good.
