Lot 0059
A lovely bud vase with a classical form, with two applied deer heads on either side. The base is round and surmounted by a bullet shaped body; the vase has a slender neck and wide lip. It has a nice silver polish, with no scratches and is in great shape for its age. The vase is marked on the bottom with the Gorham three-element trademark as used for silver. It is marked pattern 730 on the bottom. Gorham's Saxon Stag pattern dates to 1855- this piece is circa 1860. The vase is 6 inches tall and 3 inches from one stag face to the other. The vase weighs 4.59oz. A really beautiful decorative item, perfect for adding elegant detail to any home.
